Let's face it ladies...in today's society, with the media, and TV, and movies, and magazines, and models, and everything involving any type of entertainment, even the most secure women can become a little uncomfortable with how they look. We're living in a time where someone who's 5'9" and wears a size 12 is considered Plus Size. What is that about?!?! We're surrounded by celebrities who wear size zeros when they're 5 months pregnant. And women who obsess over working out and what they eat as early as 2 weeks after having a baby. All this in between "loving to eat whatever I want when I was pregnant" and being happy in the skin they're in.
On the flip side and generally a lot less discussed, we have women who are naturally thin and have naturally high metabolisms that feel inadequate next to a fuller-figured woman. They get looks and stares, and snide remarks from people who say, "you should eat something" or "you really need to gain some weight". As crazy as that sounds to many of us, that could hurt just as much as someone saying to a person, "wow, you've really gained some weight".
No matter how you look at it, people are going to say things that they probably shouldn't say and will probably make you feel like less of a person...if you let it. My goal is to help women understand that they're perfectly fine the way they are. If you want to lose weight, fine...if you want to gain weight, fine...if you like the way you look...FINE! Just don't let others tell you that there's something wrong with you just for being different.
And so now that the sappy life's lesson is out of the way, I'll get off my high horse.
